We are overjoyed to report that, on the July 17th meeting of the Corvallis City Council, the Council collectively agreed to go forward with the creation of a Climate Advisory Board.  Ten community members testified in favor of a CAB, citing the recommendation by the Climate Action Task Force and the work of the YouCAN Corvallis team.

What’s next?  On the August 7 City Council meeting, it will be extremely important for the Council to hear testimony in favor of our CAB description – a joint effort of the Oregon Chapter of the Sierra Club and Our Children’s Trust.

The Gazette-Times reported on the City Council meeting the morning of July 18th.  You can read the full article here.  Climate Action is the second topic covered in the article.
